Time For Sleeping

To get to sleep we need to be in a relaxed calm state as this reduces the hormone cortisol and increases release of melatonin - the hormone of sleep. Finding a way to relax at night results in sleep.

Children naturally respond well to visualisation. We use techniques that encourage your child to imagine themselves in situations that put them in the right mindset for getting to sleep.

Worrying about not going to sleep can cause added stress when trying to fall asleep. To remove the focus from sleep to relaxation and calmness can mean sleep comes quicker and more easily.

If bedtime gets linked to stress and battling with no sleep, it becomes the habit and expectation. By changing the focus to being relaxed, the mind starts to alter its association to the bedroom.

Certain phrasing enables the neuro-psychological mechanism to evoke a bodily response. The phrases within this recording unconsciously evokes calm and relaxation. This creates the right environment to sleep.

Listening to a story enables the unconscious to change its reponse without the conscious mind being fully aware of what's happening. This means change happens quickly. Children naturally imagine easily.
